Today we’d like to introduce you to Gregory Kopp and Annette Czech.
Kopp Company was originally founded by Gregory and Annette Kopp, graduates of Northwestern University, in 1983 when they created a series of “personal computer” based human resource management applications. Today, the company provides Human Capital, Enterprise Performance, and Media & Entertainment Consulting Services to leading Fortune 500 and non-profit organizations. Gregory Kopp is also the author of The Kopp Chronicles, a series of historical fiction books available in stores such as Amazon, iTunes, Barnes and Noble and now in hundreds of libraries across the USA and Canada. Additionally, Gregory is a Talent Ambassador for The Walt Disney Company.
Kopp Company has a rich history associated with a long line of entrepreneurs. From Greg’s grandmother to his children and relatives, 10 companies have been created by Kopp family members including a Chicago restaurant in the Great Depression and a computer software company during the Dot.com explosion. Their oldest son Nick and daughter-in-law Carla have recently started a board game company, Greg’s sister-in-law Alina Martinet has started an inspirational message service and their youngest son Rob will soon bring to market his newest video game creation.

Weird Giraffe Games is a collaboration between Nick and Carla Kopp to create games that are easy to learn, but layered with strategy. We are most proud of the fact that we’ve created games to help bring together people! We’ve succeeded as a company every time we bring joy to others through gaming. Games to date: Super Hack Override – a fast and fun game that plays 2-6 players in about 15 minutes and is a hacker battle! Perform the greatest hacks and you can impress the Supreme Super Hacker into passing his legacy onto you, but only if you avoid going to Hacker Jail! Stellar Leap – (just funded on Kickstarter!) take on the role of an alien species as you discover new planets, earn prestige and complete missions in this family-friendly space exploration game for 1-5 players. Variable player powers, game-changing events and a strategic twist on dice rolling mean that every game is as different as the planets in our galaxy. Stellar Leap Frontiers (Stellar Leap expansion just funded on Kickstarter) brings in new planets, asteroids, events, and traits that you can add to the base game for all new experiences. Solar system completion bonuses are introduced and allow players to significantly change solar systems how they see fit. Fire in the Library (coming to Kickstarter in early 2018) is a press-your-luck game in which players must try their best to rescue books and accumulate knowledge. The game is played in rounds with a variable turn order. There’s advantages and disadvantages with each turn order, with earlier players having more risk but a higher possible reward. Don’t worry, everyone starts with tools to help mitigate their luck or change the probabilities for their opponents! Gain more tools when your luck runs out or if you take the safe route and exit the library before things get too risky. I (Alina Martinet) worked at the NBC affiliate WKYC in Cleveland, Ohio for 15 years and unexpectedly in 2008, I was laid off. Throughout my life I always looked for and collected wise words, sayings and quotes that inspired and motivated me. So I started a2 at that time. Then geta2.com began in earnest when my husband, the dreamboat (that’s another story) – he’s always striving for balance in his busy life asked me if I’d email those inspirational sayings to him, so I did and then so on and so on. That’s what makes a2 so very easy… just read it and delete it.
